How will you use Grumpy Cat in your classroom?
1. Let students create their own rules for the classroom. Ask them what would make them a Grumpy Cat and brainstorm a list of rules.
2. Use Grumpy Cat with learning about emotions.
3. Bring a stuffed cat into the classroom and name it grumpy cat. Each night one of your students will take Grumpy Cat home and write a story about why he was grumpy and what made him happy.

Alphabet Classroom Decor Banners Pennants and More

It's back to school time and I've created some super cute classroom decor items for your pre-k and kindergarten back to school needs. I wanted to make sure that you could use your classroom theme items as teaching aides too. I created four different sets of alphabet banners. These A to Z pennants have an uppercase letter, lowercase letter, and a cute image on each pennant that helps your students learn beginning letter recognition and sounds. These printable classroom resources are a simple solution for your pre-k and kindergarten classroom themes. Your kiddos will enjoy learning their beginning letters and sounds using these posters as teaching aides.

You can find all classroom decor items {HERE}.

I wanted a bit of whimsy and fun that would go with a circus theme or a carnival theme and I added polka dots too. Check out my alphabet pennant in my polka dot circus theme.

Here's my orange and aqua theme classroom A to Z banner set.

Here's my rainbow theme classroom decor alphabet banners.

If you want a cowboy theme classroom for your back to school classroom decor or you want a western theme, I bet you'll love my royal blue and gold paisley classroom decor set. It's just right if your school colors are blue and gold or blue and yellow too. You can use this to teach the colors of the rainbow too. I've used red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violent as a repeating pattern.

Finally, how about a little bit of stripes and polka dots for your kindergarten classroom decor? They look super cute when they're all lined up across a bulletin board or even in the hall.

Three Little Pigs Sequencing Cards

Three Little Pigs* Create a Three Little Pigs craft with this three little pigs sequencing card craft. The sequencing cards include a picture of the straw house from the story, the twig house, the brick house, and a boiling pot.

Students can use the craft to retell the three little pigs story and work on their sequencing skills. This craft makes a great three little pigs display too.

It can be folded up like a little three little pigs storybook too. Hope you enjoy this three little pigs activity. I've included a pig and the big bad wolf as options for crafts to display your story.

I also have a version of The Gingerbread Man sequencing craft available {HERE} .

All About Me Pennant Owls

All about me pennant: Use this all about me banner with apples across the top and attach it to an owl using a string for your back to school craft. The all about me pennants are 1/2 a page in size and will be printed two to a page. There are two versions of the all about me pennant. The first version asks the student's name, age, birthday, grade, favorite color, favorite animal, and favorite foods. At the bottom of the all about me surveys, the students will write what they want to be when they grow up. The student will also draw a self portrait.

The second all about me banner is for younger students. The students will write their names, age, and then color a block with their favorite color. These students will also draw a self portrait. There are four different owls to choose to use with your pennants. The students will color or paint their owls in unique ways and attach the pennants around the necks of the owls using a string. The all about me craft can be used with or without the owls but I suggest placing the all about me owls on your classroom bulletin board and using the phrase Whoo I Am or Whoo am I? as the heading. These will go well with your owl classroom themes too.
